With a lifelong passion for helping others, I bring together decades of experience in education, specialized learning support, and compassionate end-of-life care.
My professional journey began with a deep love of teaching and a belief that every person has unique strengths, abilities, and stories worth discovering. Throughout my teaching career, I have been nationally recognized as a recipient of The Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Teaching, honoured as a Master Teacher in my school division, and recognized as an SPCA Teacher of the Year for my commitment to education and compassionate learning.
My desire to help people has naturally extended beyond the traditional classroom.
As a Certified Irlen Screener, I help individuals explore whether visual processing difficulties may be affecting their reading, learning, comfort, or ability to process printed information. Through individualized screening and a positive, supportive approach, I work with people to better understand their visual needs and discover strategies that may make reading and learning more comfortable and accessible.
My work as an End-of-Life Doula, or Death Doula, grew from that same desire to support people through an important life transition. I believe that planning for death does not have to be frightening, overwhelming, or impersonal. Instead, it can be an opportunity to express your wishes, tell your story, organize the details that matter to you, and provide clarity and peace of mind for both you and the people you love.
